Scientific interests

Study of freshwater environments /lake, river, small water bodies/ in the field of chemistry /inorganic and organic forms of phosphorus and nitrogen, metallic and non-metallic elements, phaeopigments/ and physical conditions /light climate/ in relation to landscape transformations. Methods and criteria for assessment of water quality and classifying of trophic status.

Research of reaction of hydrobionts to change of abiotics parameters of water/bottom sediments in the context of water bodies restoration with use of different methods of reclamation (mesocosms experiments).

 Publications:

63 international peer-reviewed publications, including 28 in Journal Citation Reports (e.g. Hydrobiologia, Ecological Engineering, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety, Limnetica, International Review of Hydrobiology, Oceanological and Hydrobiological Studies, Polish Journal of Environmental Studies, Environment Protection Engineering, Environmental Earth Sciences), 35 in reviewed journals, 50 chapters and editor of 2 books.
